In the cryogenic version, bellow valves have a vacuum weld-in flange for assembly in a vacuum-insulated cold box or line. Typically they have a cryogenic length of 875 mm and are designed in angle or straight pattern. A positioner and a pneumatic actuator, a manual actuator or an electric actuator provide for the activation of the valve, to close it or to regulate the flow of the fluid. Thanks to the metal bellow, the valve is closed off to the environment with high tightness and ensures high reliability.
Various options, such as a thermal connection to an 80K shield, end switches for the position feedback, use in a radiation environment or in the magnetic field, special connection dimensions or optimisation of the heat incidence are available on request.
The corresponding warm valve possess neither a weld-in flange nor a cryogenic length and serves for the feed of the gaseous, warm fluid into a cold box.
