Multi-couplings possess not just one, but two fluid lines. It is thus possible to transport not just the cryogenic fluid, but also the arising boil-off gas in a coupling. Typically, the two conductors are surrounded by a joint vacuum insulation. However, in the event of large temperature differences between the two fluid lines, both conductors can also be equipped with separate vacuum insulation.
